Panikos is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (FCA) with extensive experience in management and finance.

After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1978 in London, he started his career in Cyprus as a Senior Manager of a local public accountants firm, followed by a long career with the “NKS Shacolas Group of Companies”. After a two-year contract in Nigeria as the General Manager of the cement and animal feedstuffs trading company of the Group, he served from the position of General Manager in a number of Group companies from 1984 until 2006, with a 6 year interval in 1989-1994 when he served as Cyprus Airways’ CEO.

Panikos has held Directorships in quoted public companies and other large business in Cyprus such as Cyprus Trading Corporation (CTC), F.W. Woolworth, Cyprus Airways, Eurocypria Airlines, Paneuropean Insurance, Philiki Insurance, Aretaeio Medical Centre, etc. He served as the Chairman of the “Cyprus Association of Public Companies” (1990-1992) as well as the Chairman of the “Cyprus Retailers’ Association” (1997-2005). In 2006, when a 25 year BOT Concession Agreement was signed between Hermes Airports Ltd and the Cyprus Government for the construction of new Terminals and the operation of the Larnaka and Paphos International Airports, Panikos took up the position of “General Manager Finance & Administration”, until March 2016 when he joined EPW, utilising his wealth of knowledge and experience for the benefit of its clients.
